Amity's Mission Statement
Amity Presbyterian Church confesses Jesus Christ
as Lord and as the center of all that we are and all that we do. Our purpose is to be a vibrant, active witness to God's
love for the world in Jesus Christ in the heart of Charlotte, NC, in the 21st century. Our desire is to discover what
God is doing in our community and then join God in ministry to others in the name of Christ. Mission
in Action:
As the Church gathered by the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we seek:
-To be
relevant to the culture in which we live, especially in the surrounding community.
-To be an embodied testimony
to Christ in our approach to ministry to people of all ages, races, and socio-economic status.
-To be open
to being transformed by Christ from a religious organization into the living Body of Christ willing to be creative in order
to care for each other as well as to reach out to others in need. Empowered and transformed
by The Spirit of Christ, we share a life together of discovery, innovation, service, love and faith. |
